My Reason Why
As an Army Veteran, I have seen the stigma that comes with seeking out mental health care. It has caused me to lose a few friends and has almost made me take my own life a couple times. Talking about my mental health issues was the only other viable option. Hearing others going through some of the same issues that I was having helped me so much. Knowing that there were others that I could share coping ideas and strategies with made everything so much better.
My goal in this work is to let others know they are not alone in their journey and that we are here to give a lending hand; whether that lending hand means having someone to talk to or to help find them the resources they need to succeed in life.
Everyone will fill like they are alone in their battle with mental health, but we never are. My personal beliefs and memorials of soldiers, friends, and my own mental health crisis align with Here Tomorrow; a common and shared goal, to help one another to live and thrive.
