I have learned that people rarely fit neatly into categories; and I don’t believe support should require them to. I connect with people across generations, backgrounds, cultures, and ways of seeing the world by staying curious, listening closely, and paying attention to what is being said as well as what sometimes lives between the words.

I believe connection begins when people feel genuinely understood.

My ethic has been shaped by many lives within one life: Fatherhood, Combat Veteran, Surviving Life-Changing Traumas, Rebuilding After Loss, and discovering that strength does not always look like strength while you are living through it. Those experiences taught me that support can be compassionate without becoming passive. Sometimes caring for someone means listening without judgment; other times it means helping them recognize the next door, make the next call, ask the next question, or take one small step towards healing.

Outside of work, I am endlessly fascinated by the intersections of Science, Art, Music, Nature, Human Behavior, and the Beauty of Being Alive. I believe healing can be deeply serious without requiring us to become serious people. There is room for Laughter, Curiosity, Rhythm, Imagination, and even a little Weirdness along the way.
