Jess McCrosky
Director of Training & Outreach
Over the past several years, I have found a depth of purpose I never knew was possible. What began as my personal recovery journey has grown into a professional mission: to build pathways for others to discover hope, purpose, and sustainable wellness in their own lives.
As Director of Training and Outreach at Here Tomorrow, I lead the development of peer-based education programs that equip individuals with both lived experience and professional skills to support others through life’s most vulnerable moments. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville University and have intentionally worked to translate clinical frameworks such as motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and skills-based interventions into accessible, practical tools for peer support specialists.
I believe people with lived experience are some of the most influential helpers in the mental health field. My passion lies in creating training environments where peers are empowered, confident, and ethically grounded—able to combine authenticity with structure, compassion with skill, and hope with accountability.
In my own recovery, I learned that developing and practicing coping skills shifts perspective, builds resilience, and makes gratitude possible even in difficult seasons. That belief continues to guide my leadership today. When working with peers and community partners, I emphasize honesty, humility, and the courage to grow. It is not always easy—but it is possible.
Through education, supervision, and community collaboration, I am committed to strengthening the peer workforce and expanding access to hope across Northeast Florida.
When helping friends in recovery, I let them know the importance of being honest with yourself and others. I personally know, this is not easy, but it is possible.
