Here Tomorrow Gala Raises More Than $420,000 to Expand Suicide Prevention Services
Here Tomorrow celebrated a major milestone at its recent “A Night of Promise” Gala, raising more than $420,000 to support and expand its life-saving suicide prevention services. Held March 21 at TPC Sawgrass, the event brought together 188 community leaders, advocates and supporters to commemorate five years of impact while reaffirming the organization’s mission to provide free, immediate mental health support to individuals and families in need. The evening featured inspiring stories, community-focused programming, gourmet dining, dancing, and both silent and live auctions that encouraged guests to invest in a future where no one struggles alone.
Throughout the program, Here Tomorrow President and CEO Terrie Andrews, Director of Peer Services Amanda Frankenfield, and founder Joe Kenney shared powerful messages about the organization’s growth and the importance of accessible mental health care. Kenney reflected on the personal loss of his son, Gary, whose death by suicide inspired the creation of Here Tomorrow and continues to drive the organization’s mission. Attendees also enjoyed a lively auction led by U.S. Rep. Aaron Bean, which featured exclusive experiences including the opportunity to play golf with Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and wide receiver Parker Washington.
The success of the gala was made possible through the generosity of sponsors, donors and community partners who share Here Tomorrow’s commitment to strengthening mental health resources throughout Northeast Florida. Funds raised during the event will directly support the organization’s free suicide prevention services, ensuring more individuals and families have access to compassionate care when they need it most.
