Trevor Lawrence’s My Cause My Cleats Campaign Drives Record-Breaking Support for Here Tomorrow

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — January 20, 2026 — Here Tomorrow announced today that the organization raised significant funds and national awareness through Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s participation in the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign, resulting in a record-setting month of philanthropic support for the nonprofit’s suicide prevention services.

Since the 2025 My Cause My Cleats Here Tomorrow campaign launched on November 25, Here Tomorrow has received 109 donations totaling more than $695,000, including a donation of $500,000 from a single donor. Throughout the month, Here Tomorrow set a new single-month fundraising record, raising more than $1,200,000 by meeting a $500,000 match grant provided by Joe Kenney, founder of Here Tomorrow. The milestone underscores the growing momentum behind Here Tomorrow’s mission to provide accessible, no-cost, non-clinical mental health support.

Contributions came from supporters across the country, including donors in Colorado, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Delaware, Kentucky, Michigan, Alabama, Rhode Island, North Carolina, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, and Tennessee, highlighting the campaign’s nationwide reach. Locally, the organization partnered with local businesses including Strings Sports Brewery and Sliders Oyster Bar to raise awareness about Lawrence’s cause and many Northeast Florida locals donated in support.

“My son was such a huge fan of Trevor Lawrence, so it warms my heart to see him support and highlight the incredible mission of Here Tomorrow,” said Marcia Todd, a first time supporter of My Cause My Cleats, who lost her 15-year-old son, Brenden, to suicide five years ago. “As a parent who wishes my son had the opportunity to benefit from their amazing teen program, I’m encouraged for other parents to have access to these life saving resources for their children.

During the campaign, Here Tomorrow also received its second consecutive $5,000 grant from the Jaguars Foundation, reinforcing the team’s ongoing commitment to mental health and suicide prevention initiatives in Northeast Florida.

“We are incredibly grateful for the awareness and generosity generated through the support of the Lawrence family, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the NFL My Cause My Cleats campaign,” said Terrie Andrews, President and CEO of Here Tomorrow. “The outpouring of donations from across the country allows us to continue removing barriers to mental health care and ensures that anyone who needs help can receive it — at no cost and with no appointment required.”

Here Tomorrow provides a community-based, non-clinical model for suicide prevention that removes barriers to access mental health support for teens, military, veterans, first responders, and adults. Funded completely through philanthropy, the organization provides confidential services both in-person and by phone at no cost to those seeking care with no appointment necessary. The organization was founded in 2021 by Joe Kenney in honor of his son Gary, who died by suicide at the age of 30. Kenney was struck by how difficult it was to find his son the help he needed and created Here Tomorrow to ensure that others would not have to endure such loss.

The Lawrence and Kenney families’ paths first crossed in 2015. Chase Lawrence, Trevor’s brother, was just beginning his art career fresh out of art school and was introduced to Joe’s brother, Bill Kenney, by a mutual friend. He was one of Chase’s first art collectors. Through that relationship he and his wife, artist Brooke Lawrence, learned about Here Tomorrow. Since the organization opened its doors in 2021, Brooke and Chase have created numerous dynamic artworks for the organization on view at their campus in Neptune Beach, Florida.

The NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats” campaign, launched in 2016, empowers football players to wear customized cleats during weeks 12 and 13 of the NFL season. Players select a nonprofit organization that is important to them and then feature the organization on their cleats to raise awareness about the nonprofit’s mission. The artwork for Trevor’s cleats was designed by his brother and sister-in-law, artists Chase and Brooke Lawrence, and then translated to the footwear by Marcus Rivero, known as Soles by Sir.  All proceeds from sales go to the respective causes selected by players.

Lawrence will wear customized cleats featuring the organization on November 30, 2025, during the Jaguars’ game against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. “We all have someone we know or love who struggles with their mental health. I want everyone out there to know that it is okay to ask for help, and that Here Tomorrow is here for you at no cost with no appointment needed,” said Lawrence. “My family has had a relationship with the Kenney family for many years, and for us this is an opportunity to share their story and the mission of Here Tomorrow with families nationwide.”

The Lawrence and Kenney families’ paths first crossed in 2015. Chase Lawrence was just beginning his art career fresh out of art school and was introduced to Joe’s brother, Bill Kenney, by a mutual friend. Their most recent work, “Beacon,” was installed in the teen space in September 2025.

“At different times in our lives, we both have struggled with our mental health just like so many other people, and we have lost people we knew to suicide,” said Chase and Brooke Lawrence. “Here Tomorrow is offering something truly unique to help people and their families. We are so inspired by their community of care and grateful to be able to support their mission.”

As part of this year’s initiative, the NFL is partnering with Rayze to create an additional fundraising option for players and their 501c3 nonprofit organizations of choice. All players also have the option to donate their cleats to NFL Auction, where fans can make their favorite player’s custom cleats their own. All proceeds from sales go to the respective causes selected by players.

“It is an honor to have Trevor and the entire Lawrence family come together and help raise awareness about Here Tomorrow,” said Terrie Andrews, President and CEO of Here Tomorrow. “Our goal as an organization is to prevent suicide, one conversation at a time — and it is our hope that with this partnership, we will reach more people and families in need of support.”
