Hannah Hackworth

Hannah's Reason Why

Hannah is a social entrepreneur who is passionate about rethinking what is possible when it comes to accessing mental healthcare and building a community where people know in their hearts it is okay to ask for help.

For the last 23 years she has worked as a social worker and leader, to find innovative ways, through community collaboration, to address the social and behavioral health needs of vulnerable populations in Northeast Florida. She has had the opportunity to see the healthcare system through the eyes of the people she has had the privilege of caring for and believes we, together as a community, can create an effective way to identify and connect with people who are feeling hopeless and their families before it is too late.

Hannah has worked across the healthcare continuum and her experience includes inpatient behavioral health, community behavioral health, substance abuse, mental health and aging, integration of primary care and behavioral health, geriatric care coordination, and addressing the social determinants of health. She completed a Master of Social Work and Certificate in Addictions at UCF in 2002 and Master of Business Administration from Jacksonville University in 2017. She is a State of Florida Qualified Clinical Supervisor. Hannah has been the recipient of awards for innovation in mental healthcare delivery and was selected by her Northeast Florida peers as 2010 Social Worker of the Year.

In August of 2020, Hannah met Joe Kenney and the two of them joined forces to launch Here Tomorrow. Hannah believes changing the world is possible and that with Here Tomorrow, we have created a place that puts space between a thought and an action; a place to tap into hope and self-acceptance; an experience that tells those contemplating suicide that they are not alone.

You can transform lives.

Help us support the community that needs us most.
